Cleaning and Inspection                At Tucson Differential, we inspect and clean every axle very thoroughly before performing any major service. This typically begins with the disassembly and inspection of all parts within your axle housing. We check for any bending, cracks, wear & tear and more. As you can see with this photo, we have disassembled and removed all of the major components within the axle housing. At this point we thoroughly clean the inside of the axle housing and the axle tubes. We can then inspect for any problems that may be hiding within.

Inspecting for "True"                Once the axle has been completely cleaned, we then start our inspection process. We start by using a specially made, 100% true steel rod. We insert specially made spacers within the inner axle tube ends, which allow us to slide the rod inside the axle tubes. We can then see whether or not the axle is true. If even the slightest bend is present, we can straighten the axle tubes right on site! Although we are not, you may however, be suprised how many differential housings we work on are actually bent. By utilizing our highly trained staff, each axle housing and all of the components are throughly inspected to ensure your axle, when finished, is as good or better than new.
